JOHNY was founded by Ruth Trioen in 2019 as an antidote for mediocrity.
The atypical name JOHNY is a symbol for (female) power, identity and audacity. It’s inspired by rock ‘n roll and has an edginess you can subtly find in the collections.
JOHNY is known for its colourful, original and very recognizable style. The collections are designed with a very candid vision in mind and appeal to a variety of women. We only work with high quality materials that will last.

ABOUT RUTH TRIOEN

Ever since she was little, Ruth had a very strong eye for aesthetics and telling stories. After her studies in communication and 10 years of field experience, she started her own creative agency, where she created concepts for other brands and companies. But the love to create something of her own kept growing.
In 2017, she launched her first lovebrand, Johny be good, with embroidered white shirts, inspired by the life and works of Patti Smith.
After having taken the first steps in the fashion landscape, it soon became clear that she wanted more of it. With the help of friends experienced in fashion, JOHNY was born. With JOHNY she wants to challenge women to dress differently and to develop their own personal style.
